About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data, as well as developing and maintaining our Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure production support for Data Marts and ETL processes, maintaining data accuracy across all BI products by utilizing ETL tools such as Talend.
  • Comprehend and address complex business requirements and logic.
  • Deliver production support for BI reporting and BI server administration, facilitating reporting functionality through tools like Jasper Report, PowerBI, and SpashBI, etc.
  • Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, and software engineers on all Data Engineering initiatives and projects.
  • Assess requirements and specifications for BI software development, considering both current and future functionalities.
  • Participate in on-call support during non-business hours on a rotational basis to ensure seamless operation of production ETL processes.
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in Talend Data Integration (knowledge of other ETL tools is a plus)
  • Data Warehousing experience
  • SQL and relational database experience, including design principles
  • Shell and Python scripting experience (preferred)
  • 2+ years of Java programming language proficiency
  • Analytic Reporting tool experience (e.g., Jasper, Tableau, Power BI, SplashBI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with software development and ETL best practices
  • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities - Data Analytics experience is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, effective collaborator with both engineering and business users
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field of added work experience (4-6 years)
