We are seeking an exceptional English teacher to join our Prep School team at Runnymede College. As a well-qualified and experienced professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students in Years 4-8.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach English to students in Years 4-8, following the British National Curriculum
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and resource lessons
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school
- Good honours degree from a British University (2:1 or better)
- PGCE or other qualified teacher status
- Recent experience as a teacher in a school in the UK
- Excellent subject knowledge and experience of teaching Years 4-8
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to modify learning strategies to target individual student needs
- High expectations of pupils' effort and behaviour
- Proven classroom management skills
- Organised and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Native level English speaker
- Good working knowledge of ICT systems and their application in the classroom
