About the Role
Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly skilled Cost Center Controller to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving cost efficiency and process improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations and effective cost management.
- Manage and analyze cost center data, identifying areas for optimization and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial operations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of SAP (BW/SAP S4H/BPC) and other financial systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Highly numerical and analytical, with a focus on detail and a broader understanding of the organization's financial landscape.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a global environment, with a strong understanding of international financial regulations.
- Experience in recharge cost absorption environments, with a focus on cost management and optimization.
Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Languages
Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
