We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team in France. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating and pricing risks in accordance with Chubb's guidelines and underwriting authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to brokers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Underwrite and evaluate risks, applying in-depth knowledge of insurance products and industry trends.
- Work closely with underwriting and sales teams to promote portfolio sustainability, cross-selling opportunities, and business growth.
- Review and adapt underwriting offers, leading contract negotiations with brokers.
- Support brokers in handling small and medium-sized enterprises, maintaining good commercial relationships and providing quality service.
- Ensure effective management of policies throughout their life cycle.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders.
- Support business strategy development and implementation.
Requirements and Skills
- Native or bilingual proficiency in French is essential.
- Business-level English (C1) is required.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, law, insurance, or engineering is preferred.
- Experience in the insurance sector is crucial.
- Prior underwriter experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is necessary.
