Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of designers, providing mentorship and coaching to help them grow and develop their skills.
- Cultivate a positive team environment by fostering communication, setting goals, and advocating for designers.
- Optimize design workflow by integrating UX, UI, and development teams, managing resources, and experimenting with new methodologies.
- Bridge communication gaps by representing the design team, communicating processes, and gathering feedback to ensure smooth collaboration across departments.
- Iterate design and prototyping by creating low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, iterating based on feedback, and prototyping designs to test and validate usability.
- Develop visually appealing and consistent interfaces that adhere to design principles and style guides.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, clearly communicating design decisions and presenting design work to various audiences.
- Track progress, measure success through user feedback and data analysis, and continuously refine the design process for efficiency and effectiveness.
- 5+ years of experience in product design.
- 2+ years of experience in a team lead role.
- Strong understanding of design principles, user experience design, and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach other designers.
- Passion for helping others grow and develop.
- Experience with design team development methodologies and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
