Overview of the Position
As a Senior Azure Infrastructure Architect, you will take charge of the design, development, and deployment of cloud solutions that align with the strategic and technical objectives of Swiss Re.
This role is vital in ensuring that the Azure Cloud platform is effectively integrated with our business goals, thereby providing greater value to our clients.
In this capacity, you will collaborate with various teams and fellow Cloud Architects to guarantee the dependability, scalability, and security of the solutions that underpin the Azure platform.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the complete engagement process, from initial concept to final production, by directing the design, deployment, operation, and ongoing enhancement of Azure-based solutions. Offer technical leadership and direction to ensure the Azure platform's reliability, scalability, and security. Create and sustain technical roadmaps and strategies for the Azure platform. Ensure all Azure solutions are crafted and executed following industry best practices and Swiss Re standards. Spearhead the development of technical solutions that support Swiss Re's strategic objectives. Emphasize the delivery of automated and self-healing systems, optimizing workload management, and investigating methods to improve the efficiency of the Azure platform. Work closely with Azure Platform engineers to provide insights during the implementation of solutions. Share technical expertise and guidance with team members. Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies within the Azure ecosystem.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in architecting and implementing Azure-based solutions. Familiarity with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). Strong proficiency in cloud-native architectures and industry best practices. Experience leading cross-functional teams in the development and execution of complex technical solutions. Comprehensive knowledge of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. Proficient in cloud topologies and patterns such as data-driven architecture, serverless computing, and microservices. Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Services, including Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Web Apps, Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Machine Learning, and Virtual Networks. Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Active Directory. Strong skills in infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation techniques. Experience in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-incident review processes. Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Capability to lead and mentor teams in the implementation of Azure solutions. Proficient in English (this position requires English proficiency).About Swiss Re
