At Westinghouse Electric Company, we are pioneers in nuclear technology and our technology is the basis for nearly half of the world's commercial nuclear power plants in operation. Our Swedish operations were founded in 1969 and supply nuclear fuel as well as products and services in automation, maintenance, testing and decommissioning for customers around the world.
Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Radiation Engineering & Analysis (REA) group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including neutron transport calculations, radiation source term calculations, and radiation shielding calculations.
Your TeamThe REA group is a dynamic and innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions. Our team is responsible for the design and analysis of PWRs, BWRs, and advanced reactor designs such as the Westinghouse AP1000 plant and eVinciTM microreactor. We work closely with customers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas to meet their needs and provide solutions to complex problems.
Minimum RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have credits toward a BS or MS in Nuclear Engineering (or a related field). Experience with Linux, programming, and computational simulation is preferred but not required. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is also a plus.
