Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Current Accounts & Deposits

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Zaragoza. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing application code, implementing technical solutions, and configuring applications in response to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical design, programming, and testing of new projects, enhancements, and maintenance of specific applications
  • Ensuring IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance
  • Aligning application changes with the application strategy and technology roadmap
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues associated with the application
  • Maximizing operational availability and stability
  • Ensuring cost efficiency
Requirements:
  • English and Spanish advanced required
  • Knowledge and experience in systems and end-to-end processes
  • Experience in Cobol/Cics/DB2 analysis and programming is a must
  • Experience with application solutions from a technological perspective, ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructure
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns, and software architecture
  • Development background and demonstrated experience as an analyst
  • Experience in analyzing existing systems from high-level architecture to application code review
  • Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagrams, components, flows, and use cases
  • Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mindset
  • Experience with testing/QA tools
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand complex business processes and workflows
  • Teamwork capacity with multidisciplinary teams
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • High commitment and results-focused
  • Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of methodologies in application development (e.g., Agile)
