We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our Cloud Operations Team, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining our SaaS services in the AWS environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with product engineering teams to design, deliver, and fine-tune automated deployment, operations, and monitoring tools.
- Deploy and upgrade systems in AWS, leveraging EC2 IaaS, EKS, and AWS services.
- Develop and implement metrics, collect data, and improve service monitoring to detect issues before they impact customers.
- Proactively identify potential system failures and implement mitigation strategies.
- Optimize and tune systems for reliability and high availability in a 24/7 production environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues from network and application layers to infrastructure.
- Contribute to customer SLAs in Cloud infrastructure deployments on Digital TV ecosystems.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to monitor services and respond to emergency issues.
- Minimum 1 year experience as Cloud Engineer or System Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems in production environments, including configuration, networking, and scripting.
- Experience with AWS Public Cloud, containers (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS), and networking.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of Cloud deployment tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Helm.
- Experience with version control systems: CodeCommit/GitHub/GitLab.
- Ability to develop tools and scripts for automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab, AWS Code Pipeline.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Familiarity with Agile framework and DevOps concepts.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Creative problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and ownership of issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Fast learner, able to quickly understand complex systems.
