Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Hub Department within the Technology organization. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for driving component development through the complete engineering value chain in a project team operated under the agile mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept development of subsystems and components in various materials, including steel, aluminum, cast iron, composites, and plastics.
  • Verifying ideas through simple structural calculations and design reviews with main stakeholders.
  • Spar with Supply Chain during supplier discussions, manufacturing, and assembly.
  • Ensure an efficient installation when prototype is erected.
  • Enable and contribute to Turbine test and verification.
  • Ensuring the product is ready for handover to serial production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within product development and mechanical design engineering, preferably within the metal processing industry.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting/forging, and welding.
  • Experience with 3D/2D design tools, preferably NX Siemens PLM.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
