About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join our Rolling Stock team in Madrid. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the mechanical integration of bogies and couplers/joints of our rail vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design with involved parties, including the bogie plant, car body design, electrical cabling, and pneumatic piping.
  • Specify requirements and coordinate design work with system suppliers for couplers and joints.
  • Conduct clearance and collision tests, and perform movement analysis of cables and tubes.
  • Develop lifting and recovery concepts, and design attachments.
  • Plan and supervise lifting or clearance tests, and other related activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, rail vehicle construction, or industrial engineering.
  • Extensive expertise in material, strength, and bolt design.
  • Experience with Creo, PDMLink, and SAP.
  • Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills, with additional language skills an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience interacting with customers and suppliers.
  • Result-oriented, analytical, methodical, and strategic approach to challenges, with strong planning and organizational skills.
