**Position:** Research Engineer on Diverse Redundancy for AI
**Context and Mission:** Our team at Spot On News GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to work on AI solutions for safety-critical systems. The successful candidate will be part of a small team responsible for investigating and developing solutions that implement diverse redundancy for AI using appropriate accelerators.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Devise software-only solutions for low-cost diverse redundancy for AI algorithms and test them on relevant COTS processors.
- Devise hardware/software solutions for low-cost diverse redundancy for AI algorithms and test them on appropriate hardware prototypes.
- Lead a small team of junior engineers and students contributing to these tasks.
**Requirements:**
- Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Sciences, or Telecommunications.
- PhD in the area (or in the last year of the PhD) is highly preferred.
- Practical experience using COTS processors, performance simulators, and research experience.
- Knowledge on AI basic concepts.
- Experience using NVIDIA GPUs is welcome.
- Experience with GPUsim is welcome.
**Competencies:**
- Problem-solving skills.
- Pro-active and result-oriented work attitude.
- Good communication skills, including a good command of the English language (written and spoken).
**Conditions:**
- The position will be located at our company within the Computer Sciences Department.
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance.
- Salary: 50,000.00 €.
- Additional Expenses Grant: Each fellowship will be associated with a grant for additional expenses, such as IT equipment, travel, training, stays, etc.
