Job Title: Geographic Information Systems Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a talented GIS Specialist to design and implement robust enterprise Geodatabases using the ESRI platform. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their spatial data needs and requirements, and develop data models that reflect the client's requirements, processes, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise Geodatabases using the ESRI platform
  • Develop data models that reflect the client's requirements, processes, and workflows
  • Coordinate the auditing and migration of existing spatial data from various sources into the client's enterprise GeoDatabase
  • Configure and administer the client's GeoDatabase, including user access control, versioning, replication, and performance tuning
  • Establish metadata standards and documentation procedures for the GeoDatabase
  • Implement quality assurance processes to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of spatial data within the GeoDatabase
  • Provide training and support to users on how to access, query, and update spatial data in the on-premises and public-facing GeoDatabases
Requirements
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience working with GIS software, particularly the ESRI suite of products
  • Expertise in database design, spatial data modeling, and schema creation for enterprise GeoDatabases
  • Proficiency in database management systems (DBMS), such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or IBM Db2
  • Strong understanding of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, and GIS data standards
  • Proficiency in SQL and database querying languages for data manipulation and analysis
