Senior Video Tools QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team at Apple Inc. in Barcelona, Spain.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both frontend and backend testing, with a strong understanding of API functional testing and automated test development.

Responsibilities will include building and maintaining comprehensive test plans for web-based apps, collaborating with developers and QA engineers to understand features in-depth, and analyzing test results to troubleshoot and assess risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute automated tests for internal video tools, with a focus on live streaming and sports platforms.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement test automation frameworks.
  • Manage and prioritize a backlog of automation needs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality test coverage.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in UNIX-based systems.
  • Deep understanding of API functional testing, automated test development, and test data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical details effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, JUnit, or TestNg.
  • Knowledge of data-driven testing and web development tools.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
