Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for receiving and staging merchandise, marking items for placement, and delivering goods to the appropriate departments.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and stage merchandise by department, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the correct areas.
- Mark received merchandise for placement in the facility, adhering to inventory management best practices.
- Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Notify managers of low stock levels in a timely manner, ensuring seamless operations.
- Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality, refusing acceptance of damaged or unacceptable items.
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies, maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels, removing empty pallets, cardboard, and trash from storage areas.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, completing safety training and certifications as required.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, with frequent movement and lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
