A Day in the Life
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be focused on driving business objectives, from improving efficiency to increasing reliability. You will work closely with senior management and stakeholders to define project requirements and update them on status, risks, and impacts. You will also create communication plans to bring everyone up to speed with new processes.
About the Team
Our team at Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) is responsible for managing the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. We are committed to providing an extra level of customer care, including unpacking, assembling, and installing large items, and taking away old items where needed. We are a team of operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management professionals working together to grow this part of the business.
Requirements
- A degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics, or a technical field.
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
- Experience in Fulfillment Center operations and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
- Experience with supporting tools, such as Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, and MS Access.
- Shop-floor affinity and experience in Industrial Engineering, Business Process Engineering, Quality, Operations, or Logistics.
- Subject Matter Expert in any fulfillment center process.
