About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the storage, distribution, maintenance, and accounting of food and beverage, general supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of the storage area according to standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify that receiving and storage procedures are being followed daily.
  • Ensure that products are received, issued, documented, stored, and ordered according to company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments on warehouse operational matters when necessary.
  • Issue stock/supplies to staff submitting duly approved requisition forms as per standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • Keep application forms on file, ensuring they are properly completed and acknowledged by the requesting party.
  • Ensure that all items stored in freezers are properly packed in plastic bags and labeled with appropriate labels.
  • Responsible for receiving, documenting, storing, and issuing all goods and materials ordered.
  • Issue received goods to proper departments.
  • Keep shipping and receiving log up to date.
  • Take and maintain Inventory of storeroom product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field.
  • +2 years of experience in a hotel's accounting department.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
  • You learn quickly and adapt to SLS's unique culture.
  • You are humble and open to ideas. We leave our ego at the door and help get things done.
