Job Title: Android Developer

At INBRAIN Neuroelectronics, we're seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-quality Android applications for use with active implantable medical devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing Android apps for implantable medical devices
  • Assessing technical feasibility and contributing to technical concepts
  • Setting up demo environments for internal teams
  • Implementing Agile and CI/CD principles to ensure quality, performance, and effectiveness
  • Performing functional analysis and creating system designs that meet requirements
  • Developing automated and manual tests to characterize and verify sub-systems
  • Applying applicable standards and guidelines (e.g., ISO62304, ISO60601, ISO14971)
  • Maintaining traceability between requirements and test records/reports
  • Contributing to configuration management
  • Participating in technical reviews, design reviews, and milestone reviews
Requirements:
  • Relevant app development experience of at least 5 years, preferably in active (implantable) medical devices or another highly regulated environment
  • Strong engineering background, e.g., computer science
  • Familiarity with scrum and agile methodology and tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth communication protocols
  • Familiarity with software build and test infrastructures (e.g., Jenkins, GIT, Cucumber)
  • Understanding of Android Clean Architecture and ability to see the big picture
  • Experience with iOS development is a plus
  • Highly skilled with developing in Kotlin and experienced in relevant frameworks like Coroutines
  • Able to build UI using Jetpack Compose
  • Able to build a scalable multi-brand application using a multi-modular setup
  • Experience with test-driven development; able to write testable code (unit tests, integration, and end-to-end tests)
