We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our Cloud Operations + Innovation team in Europe. As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of new data center capacity for CO+I. This includes developing leading program management and construction processes, managing workflow across project managers and virtual teams, and ensuring the project is commissioned in accordance with Microsoft's standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Commissioning process for assigned metro projects, including creating and maintaining best practices to identify and incorporate quality and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and manage Commissioning Procedures and Standards, and conduct construction site inspections to review QA / QC and commissioning process.
- Drive the project Commissioning process, including scope and schedule, and report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required.
- Manage client representatives and partners to define and align on scope, schedule, and budget, and attend scheduled owner / architect / contractor (OAC) and other project meetings.
- Significant amount of relevant technical engineering experience, or Bachelor's / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND some technical engineering experience.
- Data Center Commissioning, Construction QA / QC, Project Management, Data Center Operation and Maintenance, and understanding of UPS systems, switchgear, generators and critical mechanical systems.
- Able to develop and write detailed Commissioning Scripts, and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio, MS Project, and MS Teams.
- Commissioning Certification, OSHA 30 or equivalent qualification, NFPA-70E, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
