Job Title: Project Hsse Lead - Process Safety

Job Summary:

ArcelorMittal is seeking a highly experienced Project Hsse Lead - Process Safety to join our team in the Principado de Asturias. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of our employees, contractors, and the general public during the execution of our industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HSSE management system that meets the requirements of ArcelorMittal and relevant authorities.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead the HSSE team and provide guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the EPCM consultant and other project stakeholders to ensure the integration of HSSE into all project phases.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety and health within the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with ArcelorMittal's HSSE policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on HSSE procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on HSSE matters.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, safety, or a related field).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HSSE management, with a strong background in process safety and risk management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSSE management systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
