About the Role

Royal HaskoningDHV is a leading design and engineering firm in the data center industry, and we are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) Data Centre team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver mechanical work packages in multiple projects, ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify the scope, design, and management objectives, and deliver project documentation.
  • Write technical specifications and reports, and assist the project manager in the preparation and review of project costs and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring continuous technical professional development.
  • Review contractor pre-qualifications and prepared tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews, evaluate proposals, and make recommendations to the client regarding vendor selection.
  • Write technical specifications for tenders, represent RHDHV on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities, and communicate the status of projects to internal directors and external stakeholders (clients) on an ad-hoc and formal basis.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Lead Mechanical Engineer in the data center industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering, with a focus on data center design and operations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong technical writing and reporting skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical specifications and reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines.
