Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Amadeus. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure solutions.

About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions using VMware VRA and Terraform/Github
  • Managing a team of staff employees and having accountability for their performance and results
  • Defining a vision for the team in line with the department strategy and operational challenges
  • Acting as a technical reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems
  • Optimizing efficiency based on knowledge and experience with the policies, procedures, and business plan

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Organizing the team and helping/supporting them ensure they can perform the best support on our migration to cloud
  • Continuous improvement of team-internal processes to design, implement, provide, validate, and automatically test, version and release integrated infrastructure automation and cloud integration solutions
  • Presenting solutions to management with fully documented and analyzed proposals
  • Supporting the operational team to diagnose and recover from service disruptions, report comprehensive status to management
  • Participating in the evaluation of, install, support, and control relevant tools used to provide infrastructure automation and cloud integration solutions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure and automation
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills to manage a team of staff employees
  • Ability to work autonomously with some guidance from Senior Manager
