Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Director to lead our research efforts in molecular cell biology. As a senior scientist and research leader, you will be responsible for defining the overall scientific and technological vision for our institute and providing leadership for our research programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the MPI-CBG's strategic plan and research activities program, ensuring alignment with our mission and goals
- Guarantee financial sustainability and secure sources of income for the institute
- Co-supervise the economic activities of the institute with the Administrative Director and oversee scientific human resources management
- Represent the MPI-CBG at official and social events, promoting our research and interests
- Develop and implement strategies to create a stimulating environment for top research in life sciences
- Lead the evaluations of the centre and participate in periodic evaluations, engaging with the research community
