We are seeking a highly skilled European Commodity Buyer to join our Purchasing organization in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the procurement of high-quality components for our European operations, while driving cost optimization and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives, ensuring the best possible solutions for our UK production models and European logistics centers.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring they meet our quality, cost, and delivery requirements, and promoting participation from all areas of Monozukuri to maximize Total Cost Optimization & Total Delivery Cost.
- Coordinate sourcing activities for European models, actively managing RFQs, key sourcing processes, quotation analysis, and negotiations to achieve sourcing KPIs.
- Collaborate with Monozukuri stakeholders to optimize supplier costs, adding value to our annual cost reduction targets.
- University degree in engineering, business, or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in procurement with a proven track record in supplier management.
- 3+ years' experience in the automotive sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop strategic thinking while managing operational topics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and cross-functional team environment.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; French or Japanese is a plus.
