Key Responsibilities- Support project leaders, engineering, and construction teams in identifying and implementing cost reduction alternatives.
- Benchmark design against historical performance, industry norms, and client standards to provide alternative designs that meet customer requirements.
- Facilitate value workshops and identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Manage communications or workshops with clients as required.
- Prepare multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for Capital Projects.
- Break down silos, improving communications, and enable individuals to contribute to a team solution.
- Provide recommendations for incorporation into corporate specifications and standards.
- Translate project scope and proposed alternatives into an estimate of capital expenditure costs.
- Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
- Collaborate with the Estimation support team to collect actual and alternative cost performance data.
- 10-15 years of experience in engineering, including at least 5 years in petrochemical, refinery, chemical, or power generation projects.
- Advanced industry expertise and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities.
- Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and equipment.
