About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our team at Sd Worx Belgium. As a Business Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting key management decisions by translating business topics into financials and challenging them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the finance SPOC and key person for your scope, helping the business to translate strategic decisions into financials and use financials to steer in the right direction.
  • Prepare a variety of financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive Management.
  • Understand the business model and market to be able to challenge the business where needed.
  • Manage risks and opportunities together within your business, based on financials and business discussions.
  • Own the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope, and story-build actuals and challenge financials in comparison with budget, forecast & previous year as well as historical trends.
  • Interact with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams, and provide ad hoc analysis, such as business cases to support management with financial decisions.
  • Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes, and participate in local and global initiatives, which may require occasional travel.
Requirements
  • Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance or similar.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, with controlling experience being a must.
  • Pro-active, critical mindset, and hands-on attitude.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, able to plan effectively, and feel comfortable taking critical decisions.
  • Affinity with both business and finance.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with knowledge of French being a plus.
  • Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of SAP4Hana and Power BI being a plus.
