Position Overview
The Account Manager for Truck Sales in the Iberia West region is tasked with overseeing and nurturing a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on both end-users and commercial accounts within the Commercial PBU.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess market dynamics and customer needs, strategize order placements, and address challenges in alignment with business objectives to meet profitability and payment targets.
- Oversee all sales initiatives to ensure the successful execution of established goals.
- Drive continuous enhancement of customer relationships through effective sales and management practices, collaborating with various departments as necessary.
- Ensure optimal customer management through appropriate coverage and visit frequency as per company guidelines.
- Engage in negotiations with clients in conjunction with the Sales Manager, monitor sales metrics, optimize forecasts, and set objectives in line with the company's trade policies to achieve desired outcomes.
Customer Relationship Management
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
- Implement marketing strategies and commercial initiatives within assigned accounts.
- Address customer incidents and complaints in partnership with Customer Service to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
- Guarantee timely deliveries to clients by coordinating with Customer Service and Logistics to mitigate issues.
- Manage logistics comprehensively, collaborating with internal departments to address daily operational challenges and propose solutions.
- Develop action plans for any commercial discrepancies, suggesting strategies to the Sales Manager to support account growth.
- Plan and manage time effectively to ensure each client receives adequate attention for business development and objective achievement.
Performance Metrics
- Meet volume and profitability targets for assigned accounts in accordance with the business plan and budget.
- Execute the trade policy of the PBU within the assigned accounts.
- Set specific goals for each account, aligned with the company's Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Implement strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term quantitative and qualitative objectives.
- Make pricing decisions in compliance with the company's legal policies.
- Achieve targets for customer coverage and visit frequency.
Market Intelligence and Strategic Planning
- Execute promotional strategies established by the company within assigned accounts, focusing on resource optimization.
- Enhance distribution and promotion of new product launches within the current portfolio.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of promotional agreements, marketing initiatives, logistics, and financial operations.
Market and Competitive Insights
- Recommend adjustments to the product portfolio to enhance service delivery to clients.
- Provide insights on market activities and competitive landscape.
Client Strategic Planning Support
- Monitor financial performance indicators: sales, profitability, product assortment, inventory levels, and availability.
- Develop value propositions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a sales representative role.
- Goal-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- English proficiency at B2 level.
- Possess strong interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, teamwork, and dynamic skills.
- Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
