Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Microsoft is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure (AHSI) organization. As a key member of our Strategic Planning and Architecture (SPARC) team, you will play a critical role in defining the next generation Azure cloud computer architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and extend functional and timing models of complex SOCs and validate them against other models or hardware reference systems
  • Understand the operation of complex datacentre workloads and build, document, and maintain internal tools, scripts, and analysis methods as needed
  • Utilize external and internal tools to characterize, profile, and analyze key cloud workloads
  • Define the next generation computer architecture for the cloud at all levels of innovation to create a datacentre that is truly optimized for Azure's cloud critical workloads
Requirements
  • B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience (M.S. or Ph.D)

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will collaborate closely with architects in the Azure services team, various software development teams across Microsoft's online properties, and internal and external hardware engineering teams working on silicon and systems architecture.
