Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Financial Strategist to join our team at Reconocida Empresa. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and providing strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting and financial forecasting for the R&D department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
- Build executive-level financial presentations and present results to both finance and non-finance partners.
- Lead budget prioritization conversations with business partners, ensuring that department spend is in line with R&D strategy and business unit financial expectations.
- Develop financial tools and processes to simplify and improve accuracy of financial models.
- Coordinate the implementation of these tools across both business units.
- Partner with innovation teams to support new product business case development as well as long-term financial plan and strategy.
- Manage a team of three analysts, including day-to-day responsibilities, development conversations, and the creation of team goals.
- Maintain a culture of financial compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant certification (CMA, CPA) is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Experience within R&D is preferred.
- Prior experience managing people is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex financial data.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing financial strategies and driving business results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
