About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all tramway systems in Barcelona, including IT communications that enable the transverse operation of different systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance of all tramway systems, including IT communications
  • Work closely with teams across the business (Services and Project Management) to verify the correct development of the maintenance plan
  • Elaborate and verify all necessary documentation for the Industrial Maintenance Process
  • Establish and optimize the maintenance process
  • Monitor and control modifications and/or specific activities
  • Propose and implement actions to improve customer satisfaction
  • Update maintenance information in LCC
  • Monitor and analyze technical problems with technologists, suppliers, and other participating units of ALSTOM
  • Contribute to engineering the maximum number of possible technical data on anomalies detected
  • Generate technical reports on breakdowns
  • Control software versions of electronic equipment
  • Analysis and possible study implementation of predictive maintenance techniques
  • Follow-up repairs made by suppliers
  • Guarantee and transmit to personnel the strict compliance of Norms of Quality and Environment, Safety, and Labor Health
  • Ensure safety and environmental measures are complied with at the personal level during the execution of maintenance works
  • Generate material coding requests
  • Identify materials for purchase from non-captive suppliers
  • Plan and manage renovation projects of the tram system
  • Plan preventive maintenance
  • Industrialize tramway operations
  • Release "Troubleshooting" documents to improve the efficiency of corrective maintenance
  • Install and update software and hardware, removing malicious software
  • Manage third companies that configure equipment and perform regular maintenance on hardware and software components
  • Know and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Integrated Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management
  • Manage human groups to carry out renovations of different systems
  • Manage human groups to reach KPIs commitment
About You

  • Degree in Maintenance Engineer or similar
  • Master is a plus
  • 3-4 years of experience in similar positions
  • Previous experience in maintenance and managing projects
  • Driver's License
  • High English level is a must
  • Fluent in French is desirable
  • Desirable knowledge in railway structures
