The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural engineering and analysis, with expertise in finite element modeling, dynamic and static analysis, and soil-structure interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex structural analyses using industry-standard software such as ANSYS and LS-DYNA
- Develop and implement finite element models to simulate the behavior of structures under various loads
- Conduct dynamic and static analyses of large reinforced concrete structures and soil-structure interaction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions for the nuclear and fossil power industries
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to communicate analysis results and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering will be considered for 2 years of experience, and a Ph.D. will be considered for 4 years of experience
- Excellent credentials in principles of solid mechanics and experience with industry-standard design codes and manuals
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as ANSYS, LS-DYNA, STAAD.Pro, and GT STRUDL
Desired Skills
- Academic or industrial experience in the latest stress analysis codes
- Prior experience in the nuclear industry, including interactions with regulatory authorities
