About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Operations to join our team at Abalia Consulting Sl. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce Monitoring, Alerting, and Logging concepts to elevate the quality, performance, and resiliency of our cloud products.
  • Coordinate activities between Sales Control Center and product teams regarding Ops and SRE.
  • Support product teams in adopting SRE concepts by engaging in and improving the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, refinement, and end of life.
  • Own the SLOs on program level and track them on product level.
  • Lead and manage IT operations, including network infrastructure, server management, and cloud services, to ensure the reliability and performance of systems.
  • Oversee SRE practices, such as monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering, to maintain availability, latency, system resilience, and overall system health.
  • Ensure consistent SRE & Ops concepts are applied on program level.
  • Ensure that IT operations and SRE practices align with industry standards and best practices, including ITIL for service management.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT operations, SRE practices, and program management processes within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or a STEM related field.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Site Reliability Engineer (CSRE) or ITIL Expert, are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in IT operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), and program management.
  • Technical knowledge/Accountabilities:
    • Proficiency in SRE practices, including monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
    • Strong understanding of IT operations and infrastructure management, including cloud services and on-premises systems.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard tools for SRE and IT operations, such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios, as well as Cloud Ops.
    • Knowledge of ITIL practices for service management.
    • Designing, developing, and implementing tools and processes to automate system operations, reducing the risk of manual errors and increasing the efficiency of system administration tasks.
    • Collaborating with software development teams to ensure that new software releases and updates are integrated with existing systems and that software architecture is optimized for performance and reliability.
