About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Associate to join our dynamic and international team at IE University. As a key member of our Administration & Accounting department, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day management of our administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  2. Monitor and control financial accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and accounting principles.
  3. Supervise the accounts payable department, fixed assets, and intangible assets, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  4. Collaborate with the Management Team to prepare reports and provide financial insights.
  5. Participate in special projects to improve administrative processes and implement automation solutions.
  6. Respond to queries from various stakeholders and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in a Big Four audit firm.
  3. Excellent knowledge of Spanish GAAP and US GAAP, with the ability to interpret and apply financial data.
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERPs, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  5. Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  6. Ability to work independently, with a high level of organization and initiative.
