About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD researcher to join our Physical Cosmology group at the Institute of Cosmos Sciences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, collaborating with our team of experts in cosmology, astrophysics, and particle physics.

Research Focus

The PhD researcher will focus on the analysis and interpretation of large-scale structure surveys, with a particular emphasis on the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). The research will involve developing new techniques and methods to extract information from the data, and collaborating with the team to publish results in top-tier scientific journals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on cosmological observations and theoretical physics
  • Develop and apply new techniques for data analysis

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be enrolled or admitted to a doctoral program at the University of Barcelona for the 2023/2024 academic year. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cosmology, astrophysics, or a related field, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
