Landfill Gas Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Landfill Gas Technician to join our team at Valencia, working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be accountable to the Landfill Gas Resource Manager and will be responsible for the safe and effective monitoring and balancing of gas collection systems (GCS) to optimize Valencia's landfill gas resource for regulatory compliance and commercial benefit through power generation.

• Monitor and maintain landfill gas power generation and control equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect and maintain gas collection systems, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Collaborate with the Landfill Gas Resource Manager to develop and implement strategies for optimizing landfill gas resource utilization.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on landfill gas-related matters.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures related to landfill gas management.

• Proven experience in landfill gas management, power generation, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of gas collection systems, landfill gas power generation, and control equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
