Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our Gulf of Mexico team based in Merida, Mexico. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our tenders, projects, and functions by leveraging their expertise in procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy Development

Work closely with the SCM Lead to develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Supplier Management

Register and qualify new suppliers utilizing SAP Ariba software, ensuring they meet our quality, budgetary, and schedule requirements.

Bid Evaluation and Negotiation

Perform commercial bid evaluations, prepare recommendation to award summaries, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms.

Purchase Order Management

Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any supply issues that may arise.

Cost Savings and Reporting

Negotiate and report cost savings to project/business stakeholders, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Internal Client Support

Proactively liaise and support internal clients with the performance of assigned SCM activities, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

Supply Chain Process Management

Manage the defined elements of the supply chain process, capitalizing on lessons learned and striving to mitigate risk, promote safety, and integrity consistently.

Requirements

  • Work Experience

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy industry, is highly advantageous.

Education

An Associate or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or a related technical/analytical field is advantageous.

Technical Skills

A working knowledge and experience with SAP/SAP Ariba is advantageous, as well as knowledge of market/industry suppliers and service providers.

Language Skills

Fluency in English is required.

Excellent negotiation skills and previous experience of working with purchasing are essential.
