About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of products and parts delivered by our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process.
  • Ensure the quality of produced products and encourage, promote, and facilitate the proper criteria to production teams.
  • Contribute to site improvement actions and programs related to the quality assurance scope.
  • Functionally manage the team of verifiers of the workshop.
  • Report on KPIs, defects, and quality incidents of the workshop.
  • Accept or reject products as defined in the working instructions.
  • Accurately document NCRs and results of inspections and testing.
  • Lead activities to develop continuous improvement and prevention actions to increase the level of quality performance in the fittings workshop.
  • Deploy the self-control audit plan with efficiency.
  • Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Control the correct calibration of critical equipment and instrumentation used in inspections.
  • Lead the control plan edition and ensure all characteristics in the control plan are deployed in the manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
  • Work with industrial teams to alert on risks of missing parts due to defects.
  • Record inspection results in industrial tools as required.
  • Report to the industrial quality manager the synthesis of inspection results, including KPIs.
  • Stop production in case of a defect that justifies mandatory rework.
  • Escalate anomalies detected on production lines and ensure their effective treatment.
  • Support manufacturing teams regarding self-inspection.
  • Deploy the APSYS roadmap to quality requirements.

  • Industrial technical engineering degree.
  • Technical background enabling the understanding of critical characteristics of products.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in managing quality tools and problem-solving tools.
  • Experience in operational activities and documentation management.
  • Knowledge in quality standards (ISO 9001, IRIS, etc.).
  • Awareness of processes and products delivered in the project.
  • Fluent English.
