Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Demi Chef to join our culinary team at the Sir Victor Hotel in Barcelona. As a Demi Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, working closely with our chefs to prepare and present high-quality dishes to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of recipes and menus, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Measure and prepare ingredients, including cutting and chopping vegetables, meat, and other ingredients.
- Carry out cooking tasks, such as reducing sauces and blanching food, to ensure that all dishes are presented perfectly.
- Ensure that all food and other products are stored properly, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Perform other tasks in the kitchen as assigned, working collaboratively with the culinary team to achieve our goals.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a kitchen assistant or Demi Chef, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in the kitchen, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail, with the ability to handle cutting tools and kitchen utensils with precision.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
