About the Role

Baxter is a leading global healthcare company that is deeply connected by its mission to save and sustain lives. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel Privacy to join our team in this critical role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and day-to-day management of the Data Privacy program for the MPT and Pharma segments in WE geographies, in accordance with Baxter Global Privacy Policy and GDPR policy.
  • Manage Switzerland privacy compliance as the European Headquarters.
  • Partner with senior functional leaders to mobilize resources across the organization to implement the Data Privacy program, ensuring compliance with data protection legal requirements.
  • Enable the development and execution of innovative data-driven business initiatives while ensuring compliance with data privacy and data protection laws in the WE and Swiss geographies.
Requirements
  • Law Degree from an EU jurisdiction and bar membership.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in an international company or in an international law firm in the area of data protection.
  • Healthcare experience required. Medical Device and international experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of global data privacy laws, including the GDPR.
  • Experience in managing data incidents and breaches.
  • Proven experience with counseling business clients on an international level.
