About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Automation Specialist to join our Cyber Defence Engineering team at Swiss Re. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating new automations and components to our cybersecurity incident response platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build new cybersecurity orchestration automation via API integrations
  • Maintain and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the existing automations within the cybersecurity orchestration platform
  • Conduct research to identify and implement new techniques and tools that can enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the cybersecurity orchestration automation platform
  • Collaborate with threat detection security engineers to develop and implement custom solutions for detecting and responding to emerging cyber threats
Requirements
  • Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of cybersecurity automation as an enabler of business performance
  • Experience in Python development in complex corporate environments
  • The ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders effectively – from cybersecurity analysts to application owners
  • A track record of successful delivery in API integrations developed with Python
  • A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
  • Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with cloud native technologies and environments
  • Experience working with SOAR capabilities development
  • Knowledge of detection rule development, covering tools (such as SIEM, EDRs) and industry frameworks (such as MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Experience working as a security analyst or incident responder (in a SOC/CSIRT/on-call setup)
