About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced engineer to provide technical support for our renewable energy business. The successful candidate will have a strong background in wind energy, with expertise in construction, design, and operation of offshore and onshore wind farms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of renewable energy technologies to support underwriting
  • Act as a consultant to the construction/engineering, property, and specialty underwriting community
  • Conduct technological risk-related research and development work
  • Support underwriting and develop insurance-related technical wind turbine knowledge and tools
  • Contribute to construction and property underwriting with expertise in costing, risk selection, claims analysis, and risk-related topics
About the Team

Our Reinsurance Risk Engineering Services (RES) team provides technical support to property, engineering, and specialty business, advising underwriters on risk quality, loss estimates, capacity allocation, and loss prevention measures.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with profound expertise and experience in wind offshore and onshore energy business, preferably with knowledge in insurance risk engineering. A genuine intellectual curiosity and interest in expanding knowledge in other renewable industries and risk-related topics are essential.

Key qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in civil or marine engineering
  • Profound knowledge of hazard identification and risk management topics in the industry
  • Knowledge of industry-relevant internationally recognized standards in design, loss prevention, and fire protection
