Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician

As an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician at KBR, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all assigned Aerospace Ground Equipment. This includes inspecting, testing, and operating AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. You will diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. Your tasks will also include removing, disassembling, repairing, cleaning, treating for corrosion, assembling, and reinstalling AGE accessories and components. Additionally, you will service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air. You will operate, clean, inspect, and service AGE towing vehicles and maintain vehicle forms. You will provide customer service to department, company, and government personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Accomplish maintenance actions in accordance with applicable work cards and Technical Orders (TO).
- Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all equipment in accordance with required standards (i.e., Technical Orders (TOs) and/or commercial manuals).
- Perform towing movement of AGE, drive vehicles as required.
- If certified, weld AGE as required.
- Responsible for other assigned associated duties and those assigned by a supervisor.
- Solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.
- Analyzes and repairs ground support equipment.
- Troubleshoot or bench-check all inoperable equipment or components in accordance with applicable TO's to determine the cause of the malfunction.
- Perform simple tasks using a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
- Provides dispatch service for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
- Strictly adheres to US Air Force Technical Orders and Safety Directives.
- High School/COU/FPII required.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, speak, and write in the English language level B2.
- 3 years of experience in AGE or similar field.
- Shall meet the qualifications AGE repairman or civilian equivalent.
- Possess a valid class B driver's license.
