An exciting opportunity has emerged for a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Specialist within Airbus Defence and Space. This role is primarily based in a dynamic environment, with the expectation of occasional travel to support customer operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
- Execute, oversee, and validate both base and line maintenance tasks as a certified B1 technician.
- Conduct production and conversion activities on aircraft to prepare for ground testing, along with providing necessary support during test execution.
- Implement retrofit mechanical modifications and assessments on aircraft in line with relevant service bulletins.
- Address aircraft discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary servicing.
- Act as a maintenance expert during inspections of pre-owned aircraft, documenting findings to assess their condition for potential conversion into MRTT.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Does your profile match the following criteria? We are eager to learn more about you:
- Possession of an EASA PART 66 category B1 aircraft maintenance license with an Airbus A330 (RR TRENT 700) rating is MANDATORY.
- A valid EMAR/FR 66 B1 aircraft maintenance license with A330 endorsement is RECOMMENDED.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Airbus aircraft maintenance sector, including at least 2 years specifically with A330 (RR TRENT 700) and/or (GE CF6). Candidates must provide documentation of their continuous training and experience in compliance with EASA regulations.
- Proficiency in English at an independent user level and Spanish at a negotiation level.
- Holding a national and NATO security clearance (SC) is highly valued.
- Experience in maintaining high-quality standards and understanding work documentation and traceability is essential. Candidates should be adept at interpreting detailed technical data and maintenance manuals in English. A strong understanding of Aircraft Health and Safety protocols and a good level of computer literacy are required.
This role presents a unique challenge, combining a military background with an EASA Part 66 license and EMAR/FR 66 qualifications.
- Electrical skills, such as stripping and crimping, will be advantageous.
- The candidate must be prepared to obtain National and NATO security clearance, HPS Habilitación Personal de Seguridad.
