About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Platform Architect to join our dynamic team at Roche. As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, with a focus on Salesforce SFDC and cross-cloud migrations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful deployment and integration of cloud technologies, and you will be responsible for overseeing the architectural principles and design considerations to optimize platform performance and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions, leveraging your knowledge of cloud architectural principles, SaaS, PaaS, integration patterns, and application servers.
  • Utilize your hands-on experience with release management, source control, and deployment technologies, such as CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services, to ensure smooth and efficient deployment of applications and updates in the cloud environment.
  • Execute cross-cloud migrations, particularly with Salesforce SFDC and other Cloud providers, such as AWS and Alibaba Cloud, and facilitate seamless integration and data migration between different cloud platforms.
  • Exhibit awareness of platform-specific design considerations, including handling large data volumes, allocation limits, and data migration challenges, and proactively identify potential technical design risks and work towards developing governance strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Display a strong understanding of business processes and objectives to design cloud solutions that meet business requirements effectively, and exhibit a professional demeanor and executive presence, as you may be required to present architectural plans and strategies to top management level and decision-makers.

Requirements:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • You have over 5 years experience as a Cloud Platform Architect or similar role.
  • You have strong expertise in Salesforce SFDC and cross-cloud migration with experience in AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or other major cloud providers, and in-depth knowledge of cloud architectural principles, SaaS, PaaS, integration patterns, and application servers.
  • You are proficient in release management, source control, and deployment technologies like CI/CD pipelines, Metadata API, and integration services.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
