Data Center Critical Environment Specialist

As a Critical Environment Technician in Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the critical infrastructure that keeps our datacenters up and running. This involves coordinating with suppliers, recognizing safe versus unsafe work environments, and having a hands-on understanding of critical environment equipment.
Responsibilities- Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment, building, and grounds regularly for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
- Utilize internal computerized maintenance management systems to track equipment assets and complete work order requests for maintenance work.
- Safely and quickly respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for all abnormal conditions that impact operations.
- Enhance, develop new, or follow preexisting emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures in relation to CE operations and incidents.
- Perform various types of maintenance and repairs following methods of procedure and standard operating procedures for one or more types of equipment.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mission critical services work or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work shifts, including shift assignments during non-standard business hours.
- Ability to travel between different Data Centers.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and significant experience in mission critical services.
- Associate's Degree or technical trade certification and proven experience in mission-critical services.
- Proficient in written and oral English communication to support regional and global teams.
