Job Title: Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) - SaaS Software Transformation Leader

Company Overview:

We are working with a dynamic B2B software company backed by an ambitious Private Equity fund with a strong foothold in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, serving approximately 2,000 loyal customers.

The business operates across three lines, generating €20 million in revenue.

Recently carved out by a Private Equity sponsor, this business unit is now positioned for rapid growth and transformation.

Job Summary:

As the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), you will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation of the technology and product functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO and engaging with the board, you will drive cultural and operational change, bringing best practices from the software industry.

Your mission will be to professionalise the technology operations, set a strategic direction for product development, and lead the transition to cloud-based solutions, all while supporting organic growth and M&A initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:Technology Leadership:
  • Evaluate and restructure the existing 50-person tech team to improve efficiency and future-readiness.
  • Implement best practices in software development, DevOps, and IT operations.
  • Lead the transition from on-premise to cloud-based solutions, including the development of a SaaS/PaaS strategy.
  • Ensure the technology stack is robust, scalable, and aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of modern tools and processes, fostering a culture of innovation and agility.
Product Leadership:
  • Establish a formal product management function from the ground up, including hiring a Head of Product.
  • Define and execute the product strategy, expanding the product suite through organic development and M&A.
  • Work closely with customer-facing teams to integrate customer insights into product development.
  • Lead the development of new product offerings that align with market demands and growth opportunities.
Strategic and Operational Leadership:
  • Act as the C-level sponsor for technology and product at the executive leadership level, providing clear communication to the board.
  • Drive cultural change within the organization, promoting a fast-paced, data-driven, and customer-centric mindset.
  • Support the commercial team's reorganization, using data-driven insights to enhance sales effectiveness and customer retention.
  • Collaborate with the Private Equity sponsor to align on growth strategies, including M&A integration and expansion initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • B2B software experience is essential; ERP experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in leading technology and product functions, with a strong emphasis on technology.
  • Experience in Private Equity-backed environments and M&A integration.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cultural change within an organization.
  • Experience with cloud transition (SaaS, PaaS) and implementing best practices in technology.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.
