The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable payroll consultant to process and manage the customer's payroll in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating wages based on hours worked and administering payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc.
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
- Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks
- Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Handle requests and potential complaints from customers
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department, etc.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
- Written and speaking proficiency in French
- English will be used as a main communication language within the company
- Able to assess the user's situation, fundamental wishes and needs
- Curiosity and a need to figure out how things work (investigate)
- Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Able to handle complaints and challenging customers
- Team player who is able to work efficiently and independently
- Structured approach to working independently
- Open to learning and having new experiences
