About the Role:
MCI, a leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company, is seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team. As a Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases and database applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Design and Development: Design and develop database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions to support application requirements and business needs.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with software developers and architects to integrate database functionality into application architecture and design.
- SQL Query Writing and Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis, ensuring efficient performance and minimal resource consumption.
- Database Performance and Security: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, query inefficiencies, and indexing issues to enhance database performance and scalability. Implement database security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Database Maintenance and Support: Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and data migrations, to ensure data availability, integrity, and recoverability. Provide technical support and guidance to development teams, DBAs, and other stakeholders on database-related issues, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an SQL Developer or Database Developer, with expertise in SQL query writing, database design, and performance tuning.
- Skills: Proficiency in SQL programming languages (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL) and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Strong understanding of database architecture, relational database principles, and data modeling concepts.
