Overview

Scopely is in search of a Machine Learning Engineer to enhance our LiveOps Automation division. We are dedicated to inspiring play every day, whether through our collaborative work environments or our connections with gaming communities worldwide. Our team is composed of passionate game enthusiasts who are innovating within the mobile gaming sector, reaching millions of players globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on leveraging machine learning capabilities for LiveOps teams across various gaming platforms.
  • Engage in daily tasks that include the design, development, and research of machine learning systems, models, and methodologies, while collaborating with stakeholders to refine workflows and requirements.
  • Build a comprehensive suite of LiveOps tools powered by machine learning automation and decision-making, fundamentally transforming how MidCore manages its gaming titles.
  • Convert data science prototypes into production-ready machine learning models, ensuring their performance is maintained over time.
  • Develop and sustain cloud-native infrastructure for high-scale machine learning model deployment.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers to create tools that empower our Live Operators and Game Design teams, enhancing gameplay experiences and providing support for the LiveOps Automation tool suite.
  • Contribute to technical planning and engage in discussions regarding workflows and requirements with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Profound knowledge of machine learning technologies and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in delivering high-performance, production-quality machine learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, and model serving frameworks like Seldon Core, TorchServe, TensorFlow Serving.
  • Strong programming skills with proficiency in at least one mainstream language (Python, Java, C++) and experience with a major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in writing and maintaining automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building, managing, and maintaining MLOps platforms.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
  • Experience in developing recommendation systems.
  • Proven track record of mentoring junior team members.
