We are in search of a Staff Engineer to become an integral member of a newly established engineering team in our Madrid office.

As a Staff Engineer, you will leverage your extensive software engineering skills to transform our successful innovation projects into market-ready solutions. This role offers the chance to engage with state-of-the-art cloud technologies, remain abreast of industry trends, and lead projects with increasing autonomy. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the productization or the development of groundbreaking projects.
- Take ownership of the implementation and successful delivery of assigned initiatives.
- Exhibit functional leadership within your engineering team.

- Collaborate closely with fellow engineers, solution owners, product managers, and designers to craft cohesive and effective solutions.
- Work in conjunction with adjacent teams to ensure comprehensive project success.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.
- More than 7 years of experience as a Backend Engineer utilizing JavaScript or preferably TypeScript.
- Proficient in developing cloud-native distributed systems.
- Demonstrated generalist skill set across various technical domains beyond Backend, including Frontend, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Networking.
- Capability to analyze and design complex software systems.
- Experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed architectures.
- Proven expertise in developing cloud-native applications within the Kubernetes ecosystem, as well as with major cloud providers like AWS.
- In-depth understanding of contemporary engineering practices (Git strategy, CI/CD, testing, etc.) and their application to enable a team of engineers.
- Problem-solving mindset: you can grasp customer needs and view technology as a tool to achieve objectives.
- Ability to swiftly acquire new knowledge with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative team-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in English.
